Features & Advantages
- The ECOPLEAT Filter is Designed for coarse filtration application of air intake systems in general ventilation and air handling unit installed in public buildings, offices, factories and equipment of all kinds. They are used for prevention of dust build up in heating and cooling coils within ventilation systems.
- Used as Prefilter to extend the operational lifetime of downstream Fine Filters from premature replacement and can be used as main filter also.
- Intended to be used in typical humid environments and where there is exposure to intermittent mist or spray.
- Available in filter grade of G4 as per EN 779 / MERV8 as per ASHRAE 52.2 and rated COARSE 65% as per ISO 16890 filtration standards.
- The filter media is Self- Supporting synthetic fiber (Polyester) which is bonded to filter frame.
- The self-supporting media is hot-melt sealed into the outer frame and eliminates any air or contaminant bypass.
- The media does not require separate wire mesh support and has high durability and strength without any deformation.
- Since the wire mesh support is absent, it eliminates rust formation and provides safe handling for the installer.
- The frame can be fabricated from plastic / metallic frame or wet strength beverage Board material.
- Consistent pleat arrangement increases filter efficiency, lowers pressure drop and increases the filter strength.
- The filter has 40% more pleats when compared to normal pleated filter which results in more media area and thus increases dust holding capacity, lowers pressure drop and enhances filter life span.
- The filter is available in a number of standard and non-standard sizes and versatile for various applications. The nominal filter thickness is 2” and 4”.
- Due to the plastic frame’s light weight, sturdy and compact size it is relatively easy to handle and ship.
- Media is non fiber shedding type
- They can be used a disposable filter or as a washable filter. Ecopleat filter can be hosed with water from the clean air side, twice or thrice during the filter life span.
