From our field experience we have seen that Facility management replaces the filters after a predetermined period of time such as six months or a year, this is during their scheduled service visit. This is a rigid approach and does not take into account the performance of different filters and the various environments in which they operate. Over a set period, the filters in one AHU may be loaded completely with dust, while another set of filters is virtually clean. It all depends on the level of incoming particulate and the capabilities of the installed filters. So, make checking the system pressure drop part of the regular maintenance routine. If the filter has exceeded its recommended final pressure drop, it’s time to change. And when looking for replacements, choose filters that are suitable for the level of incoming particulate.
An incorrectly installed or maintained filtration system will not only cause problems in terms of optimum performance, in some environments it can represent a potential danger to the people and equipment it was designed to protect. Because of this, it is crucial that the same level of care be taken towards the installation and maintenance of an HVAC air filtration system which was given to its selection in the first place.
Filter Storage, Replacement and installation

As an experienced filter manufacturer, we can advise you, on how to carry out filter disposal service as per local municipality regulations, to remove all of your old HVAC air filters from site and dispose them off according to environmental and waste management standards.
Storage
The new set of filters should be stored vertically in a clean, dry and humidity-controlled environment. Make sure that the ambient room temperature does not exceed 55 Deg C.
Handling Instruction
The filter should be handled with care while unpacking since the filter media is sensitive. Always lift the filter by frame and avoid touching the media as much as possible.
Replacement and Installation
We recommend using protective equipment and wearing safety clothes when changing filters.
Our technicians can help in installation of new filter at site after carefully bringing the filter to location. This includes steps like shutting down the system, replacement of door gasket if necessary, loosening the filter clamps, taking out the old filters and Cleaning the Filter channels if necessary.
Install the new filter according to the arrow on the filter sticker and the pleats should be vertical to the airflow. Use necessary gaskets to avoid air leakages. After pushing the new filters into their slot, tighten the clamps, close the door hatch and finally restart the system.
It is not recommended to wash and re-use fine, HEPA and Carbon Filters. These are completely disposable type filters. Only certain Pre filters like Metallic Filters and Poly-fiber filters can be cleaned and washed during their life span.
